Discover Revell Model Kits
You can’t build models for long without running into Revell model kits. They make all of the most popular model kits for children, but senior citizens like me find cool stuff from them too.
Even many who buy their model building kits elsewhere often find that Revell has the very best supplies and paint available.
Revell’s departments include:
Airplanes and Helicopters
While some other model kit suppliers focus on war, you can find model kits of all kinds of aircraft from Revell. If it’s a cool airplane, Revell has a model kit for it. Do you want a model of a B-26 Marauder or a cool CH-54A Skycrane? They have them. Do you need a boring model of an Boeing 747 passenger plane for a school project? You can get those too.
Cars
You won’t be disappointed by their selection of car models. They aren’t limited to just American cars or just old cars either. If a cool car was ever sold anywhere in the world, you can probably find a model kit for it from Revell.
They have everything from a ’65 Ford Mustang to a ’32 Ford Coup.
In my opinion, no car collection of models is complete without a Ford T Big Tub. Trivia Bit: More T Buckets have been manufacturerd (mostly out of fiberglass) since Henry Ford shut down production than he ever produced in his own factory. This is the most popular car design of all time and hundreds are still being made out of fiberglass for today’s hot rod enthusiasts. If you don’t have one of these in your model collection yet, then hop to it!
Engines
Most kids no longer have the opportunity to learn about engines by working on the family vehicle. But models of motors and engines are still available. This is a great way for the next generation to learn about how engines work.
Boats
Revell has a full selection of boat models too. Want to build a model of the Titanic or any other famous ship from the past? If you can name a famous boat from the past, you can find a model for it.
Military
Of course Revell has a full selection of military model kits for the planes, ships, tanks, guns and everything else used historically in times of war.
Figures
If you are into reconstructing historical scenes, then you need to be able to put people into the set.
Pinewood Derby
When I was a boy, we whittled our pinewood derby cars out of a piece of log taken from the wood stove stack. I remember missing a whittle once and nearly cutting my thumb off. It took three stitches to stop the bleeding. Those were the best of times.
But today, kids rarely actually whittle. Some do. I taught my own grandson how to whittle. No. He didn’t need stitches like I did. Now the boy scouts just assemble pinewood derby cars from kits. Revell has a great selection of pinewood derby kits.
I varnished my own pinewood derby car when I was a kid and oiled the wheels with A1 oil. Today, the scouts put decals on their pinewood derby cars and use graphite on the wheels. Times change, but Revell has all of those fancy decals, weights, wheels and full kits to make your pinewood derby car a winner.
