What can you use crepe paper for? Paper flowers, costumes, dolls, and pinatas are only some of tje things you might make using crepe paper to decorate with.
You can find all types of books, e-books, articles, and instructions for many of these things on the Internet or some of them even in bookstores.
The easist paper to work with is crepe paper the strechability of it makes it easy to shape what you are making into any form that you may want.
When your crepe paper may get wet or when you are using markers or other coloring materials and they have a tendency to run you may want to use a bleed resistant crepe paper.
Some crepe paper is fade resistant that usually means that over a time period that the colors will stay as bright colored as when they were made and will not fade as easy as the other type of crepe paper. Also they will not fade in the sun as easily.
A lot of the crepe paper today are flame resistant that means if they are too close to a flame they will not catch on fire as quick as if they were not flame resistant and if they do come in contact with a fire it may even go out on its own. Don’t put it to the test it may be a little safer but do not take it for granted that it won’t burn.
The crepe papers we like the best are the ones that are bleed, fade, and flame resistant. Don’t get me wrong we do use the other types too; we just like the other ones the best.
Sometimes we need the crepe paper that does bleed to make some of our paper flower designs to look like the real thing so we use the crepe paper that does bleed. You may need for some of your decorations that you make to bleed so you will find out the same thing.
Always have fun doing whatever you want using the crepe paper, but the most beautiful projects you can make are the crepe paper flowers.
