Scrapbooking Layouts – Give your Scrapbook the Rocker Look
Some people may want their scrapbook to look neat, clean and organized while others prefer to create scrapbook using scrapbooking layouts that seem to be the epitome of chaos. Those with concert themes and party themes certainly will look cool in scrapbooking layouts that emphasize the chaotic beauty of life. On the other hand, giving your scrapbook a rocker look can also be another way of saying creativity is as simple as that.
Tearing Design
The tearing design is such an easy way to give your scrapbook a scruffy and rock band look. Use patterned paper or colored paper and tear the sides at random positions and shapes. Create small tears, big tears, some that look neater than the others and some that seem to be cut by teeth. Stick onto your scrapbook as a background and then highlight with eyelets, buttons and other types of embellishments. For a neater “tearing design” use shears or patterned scissors to help out with the cutting.
Burning Design
Scruffy but classy, the burning design is inspired from the old times where quills and inks and burning to seal were still used. Scrapbooking layouts like the burning design should be done with care as creating may be a cause of hazard. Use insect smokers or birthday candles to burn the sides safely. If you use candles, the fire may just catch up and ruin the whole page. Burn only the sides and let part of the fire darken the center of the paper for additional ancient effect.
Give your scrapbook the rock and roll look by putting little pieces of brads and quicklets of guitars and or emo-looking embellishments like skulls, pumpkins, blood or other scary marks and images. Best theme to use for these kinds of scrapbook would be any darker theme, gothic or Halloween themes.
